Mobile applications

We build mobile apps for people who work away from a desk: inspectors, caseworkers, event volunteers, and customers on the go. Depending on budget and the features you need, we build native iOS and Android apps or one shared cross-platform codebase.

What you get.

Works without a signal

Apps store data on the device and sync when a connection returns, so field work does not stop in a basement or a rural county.

One codebase where it makes sense

React Native or Flutter lets one team ship to both platforms. We go native with Swift or Kotlin when hardware access or performance calls for it.

A backend you control

We build the APIs, database, and admin tools behind the app, so your data is not locked into a vendor's model.

Through the app stores

We prepare store listings, respond to review feedback, and set up distribution, including private distribution for internal apps.

What we hand over

Yours to keep when the work is done.

  • iOS and Android apps
  • App store listings and submission
  • Backend API and admin dashboard
  • Push notification setup
  • Offline sync design
  • Source code and build pipeline
  • Release and update runbook

Two routes, one standard

For business

For a business, mobile usually means customer self-service or a tool for staff in the field. We keep the first release small so it launches sooner, and we connect it to your existing scheduling, payment, or CRM systems. An offline-first field tracker we built for a healthcare team keeps working with no connection and stores no patient identifiers.

For government

For agencies, mobile apps often support inspections, outreach, or case management in the field. We design for least-privilege access, lost devices, and records retention rules, and we meet Section 508 accessibility requirements on mobile as well as the web. Builds and releases are documented so the app can be maintained after the contract ends.

How it runs.

  1. Discovery

We interview or ride along with the people who will use the app and list the tasks it must handle on day one.

  2. Prototype

We test clickable screens on real devices with real users before writing production code.

  3. Build & test

We develop in sprints, put test builds on your team's phones throughout, and test on the device models your users carry.

  4. Release

We submit to the app stores, watch crash reports after launch, and ship updates on a regular schedule.

Questions we hear

Native or cross-platform?

Cross-platform is usually faster and cheaper for apps built around forms, lists, and workflows. Native makes sense for heavy camera, Bluetooth, or graphics work, and we will explain our recommendation either way.

Do we need an app, or will a mobile website do?

Often a well-built mobile web app, which can be installed to the home screen and work offline, is enough. We will tell you if the app stores are not worth the overhead.

Who maintains the app after launch?

We offer ongoing support plans, or we hand the code, build pipeline, and documentation to your team.
